Online “Sex Workers? Are Scrambling To Cover Their Tracks After Being Mass Reported To IRS For Not Paying Taxes

Women who reportedly use social media apps, like Snapchat, to make money by selling “services?such as nude pictures of themselves, private video sessions, used garments and more, are being targeted by a group of people who apparently disagree with their “unethical and hypocritical?behavior.

Deemed the “Thot Crusade,?most involved in the mass reporting believe these particular women who actively avoid paying taxes also virtue signal about socialist, communist, and marxist ideologies, including free healthcare and education for all. Funnily enough, a system such as the one they advocate for would definitely require its citizens to consistently pay their taxes.

Additionally, these sex workers have been seen flaunting the wealth they’ve made online in Instagram pictures, including newly purchased vehicles, clothing and jewelry.

Here are some screenshots from the “crusade?(Note: We’ve blacked out names, photos and other personally identifiable information; Warning: Vulgar language) ?/span>

When I first joined Instagram, photos of scantily-clad women appeared in the general search section before I had liked a single photo or started following anyone. Since I'm there just to see motorcycles, Japan, and motorcycles in Japan, I've followed the required processes to adjust the search results and it's now full of motorcycles and Japan (the latter currently featuring amazing fall colors). So I can just imagine how big an industry "disrobing for dollars" is on some social media platforms. What surprised me (although it shouldn't have) is that these "thots" are vocal socialists while not paying their fair share of the tax burden. And now they're being reported and audited. Couldn't have happened to a nicer group of gals.

News of this event is trending under the hashtag "thotaudit". Oh, and apparently "thot" now means "that hoe owes taxes".

Well they may be exempt under the "Garage Sale" rule. I forget the exact wording but, generally, sales of "used, personal items that are worth less than when new" don't need to be reported.

I think most sex workers selling their well-used "personal" services definitely fall into the "worth less than when new" category.

What is the "new" value? Well, we can use basic "cost accounting" rules under Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) to establish a baseline value equated to cost. Fortunately, the federal government has already done the math on this; The USDA calculates that, as of 2017, the average cost of raising a child to age 17 is $233,610.

Starting with that as a baseline, as long as these people don't sell their body for, cumulatively, more than this value they should be safe from the IRS. Of course, they'll have to factor in that each use decreases remaining value; this is called "Depreciation of Capital Equipment". Fortunately, I don't this this class of worker has to worry about selling their body for "too much".

Next up, we can talk about "Accelerated Depreciation"....

Which is exactly why we should have a national sales tax instead of an income tax. Fair Tax baby.

But then it would be the johns/subscribers trying to avoid paying the tax.

In any case, sex workers wanted their "work" recognized... just not by the IRS.

I put "work" in quotations, as I don't consider showing somebody their bewbs on social media to be actual work. The income is still actual income, however.

A Fair Tax, aka a sales/consumption tax is the only way to tax people like this and the whole underground economy. The sex workers, who cares if their johns pay tax on it, that's not the point. The sex workers spend that money, on booze, food, cars, clothes, etc. If they blow it on drugs, the drug dealers buy booze, food, cars, clothes, etc.
